Ingredients

Base Recipe

  • 1 cup cold brew coffee or strong-brewed coffee, chilled
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1-2 teaspoons erythritol or monk fruit sweetener
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

  • Sugar-free whipped cream
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Sugar-free chocolate syrup
  • Cinnamon sprinkle
  • Sugar-free caramel drizzle

Instructions

  • First, start with your coffee. If you're using regular coffee instead of cold brew, make it stronger than usual and let it cool completely in the fridge for at least 2 hours. You can make this ahead of time the night before.
  • Once your coffee is cold, get your blender ready. Pour in 1 cup of the cold coffee, ½ cup unsweetened almond milk, and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of your sweetener to start with. You can always add more later if you want it sweeter. Put in ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract too.
  • Now add 1 cup of ice cubes to your blender. If you want your drink thicker, you can add a few more ice cubes.
  • Cover your blender and start blending on low speed for about 10 seconds. This helps break up the ice cubes a bit.
  • Turn the speed up to high and blend for another 20-30 seconds until everything is smooth and frothy. You'll know it's ready when you don't hear any more ice chunks.
  • Take a small taste. If you want it sweeter, add another teaspoon of sweetener and blend for 5 more seconds.
  • Pour your frappe into a tall glass. Don't worry if it looks a bit foamy - that's exactly what you want!
  • If you like toppings, add some sugar-free whipped cream on top. You can sprinkle a little cocoa powder or add a drizzle of sugar-free chocolate syrup if you want.
  • Serve right away with a straw. The frappe tastes best when it's fresh and icy cold.
